Wilmot is located in the Northeast corner of South Dakota in Roberts County. A quiet little community of 500 people along SD Hwy 15. We are just 8 miles from Big Stone Lake and 7 miles from I-29 on the west of us. Wilmot was established in 1881 and celebrated their 125th Anniversary.

A day for Holiday shoppers to enjoy a gift buying extravaganza of gift ideas in Wilmot on Saturday, December 10th from 9 am to 3 pm at the Wilmot Community Center on Main Street in Wilmot. The Holidazzle is a combination of area vendors displaying their wares for the Holiday shopping season.
Over 24 booths are registered for the holiday show with 30 vendors including: Holiday packages from Main Attraction Salon; Tastefully Simple; several jewelry vendors; lefse; Uppercase Living; Avon; Mary Kay; Norwex; doll clothes; Papered Chef; Discovery toys/pocket pals; kids music; dish towels, crafts and afghans; Scentsy; beauty control; reda knives; Christmas Teddy Bears; rugs & jelly; goat candles; Blessings Unlimited; and more. With the many activities planned, there should be something of interest for everyone to enjoy.
Santa will make his annual stop in Wilmot to visit with boys and girls 10 and under on Saturday December 10th at the Wilmot Community Center during the annual Holidazzle. A special Santa headquarters will be created on stage to visit children between the hours of 1 to 3 pm. Each child will have an opportunity to visit Santa and receive a sack of candy. Parents of children are required to accompany their child.
Country Christmas/musician appreciated featured at Whetstone Jamboree The December Whetstone Jamboree will be a time to get in the Christmas spirit and bring back memories with a Country Christmas theme Saturday, December 10th beginning at 7 pm at the Wilmot Community Center in Wilmot.
This month's program will feature "Wendy Landmark and Bluez'll Do," a country group from the Watertown area. Cost of admission is $4.00.
Following the regular show, a musician's appreciation will be held with potluck. All area musicians who have performed in the past years jamboree are invited to be on hand for a jam session following the program. This will give the performers time to get together and just play any music they like. Everyone is welcome to show their appreciation to the musician's bringing something for potluck and staying to enjoy the jam session following the program.
Country bands are welcome to participate in the monthly jamboree as the featured band. The Whetstone Jamboree is held the second Saturday of most months as a fund raising project for the Wilmot Community Club.
